iQIES Is Here - Is Your Facility Linked?
In the nursing home industry, PBJ submission deadlines are as constant as the change of seasons. With fall in the air, the November 14th deadline ushers in a new era: the PBJ system in CMS is now fully migrated to their iQIES platform.
We covered this extensively in our summer newsletter and since then we have successfully been linked in iQIES for the vast majority of our SimplePBJ clients. Thank you! Your Action May Be Required
For facilities that are uncertain if they have successfully linked the required Simple accounts in iQIES, the first thing to do is to identify the Provider Security Official (or PSO) for your facility. Next, coordinate with your PSO for the following action steps:
- Confirm the PSO has access to iQIES through their HARP account
- Check for iQIES linking requests from Simple iQIES user accounts
- For reference, the Simple user accounts have an email address formatted like this: simple-connect-#@qies.simpleltc.com
- Approve the requests as soon as possible
If you would like to confirm that Simple user accounts have been successfully linked in iQIES, your PSO can view linked accounts in their HARP account or you can reach out to the Simple support team at (877) 521-9834.
IMPORTANT: in order to successfully submit your PBJ file to CMS your facility must be successfully linked in iQIES. Please DO NOT wait until the last few days before the deadline as we cannot control the speed of CMS successfully completing the linking process. Failure to link us before November 6th will likely result in your PBJ file not being accepted by CMS.

Your PBJ Q4 2026 (July 1 – September 30, 2026) PBJ staffing data is due by Saturday, November 14 and should post to Five-Star Reports and Care Compare by the end of January 2027.

Simple has launched a new, HIPAA-compliant user portal for submitting support requests called NetsmartCONNECT. Please note: Simple’s PBJ support team can only be contacted through NetsmartCONNECT or via phone at 877.521.9834.
Important! If you have not created a NetsmartCONNECT account yet, check out the training video and other resources here: NetsmartCONNECT for Simple clients. This user portal is the only way to see support case updates, so creating an account ahead of the PBJ deadline can help you save time.
